Plant a tree day!

Today was plant a tree day. We helped the high schoolers plant lots of trees.

Fractions Half

Today we made sure everyone got a fair share of the matchsticks and sultanas. We had to get exactly half each.

Money

Today we played some games to consolidate our learning of Australian coins.

Rec centre excursion

Today our class was rewarded with a visit  to the local rec centre to celebrate our work this term on Take the Challenge. We ran through a circuit of activities. 

100 counting grids

Today we cut out columns from a counting grid and talked about the column patterns you can see in the grid. Then we rearranged the columns and glued them back on correctly in order.

Visiting artist

Today we had Di Taylor, a visiting artist come to school. We all did paintings for a regional art competition in perth.

Dental visit

Today Miss Nat and Miss Jossy visited our class to reach us more about keeping healthy teeth and gums. You should drink water, eat healthy food, visit a dentist often and brush you teeth in the morning and at night. 

Our Big Assembly

On Friday it was our class' big assembly. We all did a fantastic job at performing!!

Nurse visit

Today Nurse Wendy visited again. She taught us what to do if we have scabies.

We saw Bob Hawke!

When Miss Carolyn, Miss Lily and I were in Kununurra on the weekend we saw Bob Hawke. He used to be the Prime Minister of Australia

Addition

We played a number game today called Addition. We competed with each other to see who could add up numbers the fastest to be the Ultimate Champion. We used the Rock, Paper, Scissors game with one hand and counted how many fingers we saw altogether. We had fun!

Take The Challenge

Today Sian visited to teach us about Heart Disease. We let liquid run through our veins and then put playdoh in the veins to show what happens when you eat unhealthy food. Thomas thought talking about veins was pretty yucky.

Stephanie Alexander

Yesterday our school was involved in the Kids in the Kitchen Cook off in Kununurra. Emelia and Drew were lucky enough to get a photo with Stephanie Alexander.

Today our class went to the skate park and collected rubbish. We wanted to tidy up our community and be Kind to the Environment!
